Mass Effect series sales total over 7 million

EA and Bioware’s Mass Effect series has been a massive success since the series’ introduction in late 2007. With Mass Effect garnering great reviews and sales in the range of 2.5 million on the Xbox 360 alone, the series caught a strong userbase immediately and hasn’t looked back.

Revealed in the latest issue of PS3M, they reveal that the Mass Effect series has sold over 7 million copies since 2007. With Mass Effect 2 selling well on the Xbox 360 and putting up respectable numbers on the PS3 and PC, this figure should come as no surprise. Mass Effect has performed strongest on the Xbox 360, thus far, but with Mass Effect 3  releasing on the PS3 on the same day, sales could sway slightly -- though unlikely.

 

Mass Effect 3 is set to release later this year and will surely propel sale totals well over 10 million. Congratulations to EA and Bioware on the success of the Mass Effect brand.
